Radiators in the News
The Jan/Feb 2006 edition of This Old House magazine has an article on "Troubleshooting Old Radiators." Another article, "Cast to Last", includes a bit of radiator history. I love their reference to "tinny electric baseboards" and how radiators have been heating homes, warming pies, and adding humidity to the air (are you old enough to remember those pans of water on top of the radiator?) for more than a hundred years. Let's not forget what great mitten de-thawers, and towel and rump warmers they are too! They're my cats' favorite perch in the winter.
